Jenson’s career started early as a professional drummer at the early age of 19. He has encompassed a wealth of performing and teaching experience for almost two decades as a performer, drum instructor and as a composer. His unique approach to teaching focuses not only on the principal instrument of drums but on music as a discipline. His efforts have been directed towards educating and motivating the next generation.

Singer, songwriter, author, and Chairman (elected Writer Director) of COMPASS (Composers and Authors Society of Singapore), Mel has been performing for more than 40 years in the Singapore Music Scene. Conducting guitar (acoustic and electric), bass, ukulele and vocal lessons at Studio 72, Mel caters to his students’ individual needs and aspirations to help them achieve their personal goals and targets.
Derrick is a seasoned vocal and music instructor at Studio 72, with over ten years of experience. His teaching focuses on awareness, biomechanics, continuous flow, and storytelling, tailoring his methods to each student’s learning style.
He fosters a supportive learning environment, prioritizing personal growth over fixed goals. Derrick’s multidisciplinary approach helps students discover their unique artistic voice, blending vocal techniques with performance skills.
Jedediah started playing the drums when he was 17; initially a self-taught drummer, he went to New York at the age of 23 to further his drum studies at the Drummers’ Collective institution. Under intensive training and guidance from the institution, he completed his 2-and-a-half-year Diploma program at the age of 26. During his studies in New York, he was exposed to many playing opportunities and different cultures. He was also in the company of experienced teachers such as Ian Froman, Kim Plainfield and Tobias Ralph.
Upon his return to Singapore, Jed taught students of the ages of 6 to 45 years old. Jed is proficient in Contemporary Jazz, Hip Hop, Funk and Pop/Rock. He has seven years of teaching experience and has performed for five years in places such as Wala Wala cafe bar, Warehouse @ Clarke Quay, and the Esplanade.
Haikal is a self-taught musician with more than fifteen years behind the kit. Allured by early inspirations from Rock and Metal genres of music, Haikal developed a unique style of drumming. Known for his precision, power, technicality and creativity, Haikal is a familiar face in our underground music scene, having contributed his talents to several local bands as a versatile drummer. Haikal now lends his passion and artistry to teach and develop a new generation of creative drummers.
Haikal teaches full-time at Studio 72.
Clayton is a local musician with a strong passion in music and excels in both English and Mandarin songs. He wishes to inspire the world with his music and journey through the music industry.
From humble beginnings, Clayton started his musical career as a shy busker outside malls to attaining Top 20 in SPOP 听我唱 2019. After which, countless pubs and bars has continuously engaged Clayton for his excellent performance skills as an experienced artiste. Besides performing in such establishments, he has also been constantly engaged for private events such as weddings and DNDs. Clayton has been teaching guitar and vocal lessons privately since 2020 and has a perspicuous understanding on the difficulties a student would face and, would create fun and engaging lessons for students whilst tackling the difficulties they may face along the way.
The inspiring artiste has touched the hearts of his students and audiences and aspires to continue doing so whilst perusing his dreams to be an established artiste in the local music industry. Clayton gives his very best in his performances as he believes that the most valuable asset, he possesses is his craft and wishes to share it with the world.
Karena is a singer-songwriter specializing in alt-R&B, pop, and fusion genres. Holding a diploma in music and audio technology, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as a vocal teacher. Notable collaborations include her work with producers like KRCKZ on “Let Me Go” and contributions to the late XVAN’s tribute EP, “XVAN,” collaborating with acclaimed artists such as evanturetime, Foxela, Brittle Bear, MYRNE, and KNIGHTNDAE. Recognized for her talent, Karena reached the top 4 finals in MediaCorp’s SPOPSing SPOP听我唱 2018, showcasing her exceptional vocal prowess and musical versatility.
With a musical journey that began at the age of 15, Chalmers has woven his passion into the fabric of countless events, from the vibrant energy of Gastrobeats to the grandeur of the Esplanade stage.
Through his music, Chalmers aims to ignite the passion for guitar in others, believing that the joy of music knows no age limit.
Chalmers teaches the Bass, Guitar & Ukulele.
